In this fourth and final installment in our blog series on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Certifications and Exams, we will focus on the MB-330: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management exam, which is a requirement for the Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate certification.

MB-330

If you’ve been following along, you now know that Microsoft has been working to migrate their e-learning to a new platform called Microsoft Learn. In case this is the first blog post you’ve read in this series (and I highly recommend you read through the others as well), Microsoft Learn is set up to offer “free self-paced, role-based, task-based content in Learning paths (groups of modules) and modules (individual tasks).” They have offered a course listing for exams relating to Power Platform, Customer Engagement, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, and Sales, but since the release of the Finance and Operations exams on March 31st, we have yet to see a clear path for the requirements of these new exams.

Well, the good news is, the courses are available on Microsoft Learn. A person who is motivated enough to review the Skills measured section on the exam page against the courses in Microsoft Learn will be able to match up the Learning paths and modules. Luckily, we have someone just ambitious enough to undertake this task. In this four part series, we have broken down the requirements for the new exams and listed out what we believe to be the fully encompassing list of links to relevant Microsoft Learn Learning paths and modules.

MB-330: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management

Below is a list of the skills measured and how much of the exam is expected to be focused on these skills.

  • Implement Product information management (25-30%)
  • Implement Inventory management (20-25%)
  • Implement and manage Supply Chain processes (25-30%)
  • Implement Warehouse management and Transportation management and perform business processes (25-30%)

In order to support these skills, Microsoft is offering the following Learning paths and modules:

Remember, all specified Learning paths have multiple modules associated with them, so there could be a lot of content in the above mentioned links!  All summed up, the total time you would invest in these Learning paths and modules is 26 hours and 42 minutes. While that may seem overwhelming, just remember that becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional is a journey and the knowledge gained today is only going to benefit you more as you progress through your Dynamics 365 career.

Best of luck on your exams!
