One of Microsoft’s newer endeavors, Dynamics 365 Project Operations, continues to cement its place in the diverse collection of Microsoft Business Applications. As was the case with its fellow Dynamics 365 biz apps, Project Operations is seeing healthy growth in functionality in a few areas this year, including the eventual upgrade for customers still on Project Service Automation. Gurkan Salk, General Manager of Dynamics 365 Project Operations, recently wrote a great blog walking through the new features.
To keep it concise here, this is what’s new in the 2021 Release Wave 1 update:
- Nonstocked materials for projects
- Seamless provisioning and ALM experiences
- Integrated task-based billing setup for projects
- Upgrade from Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation to Dynamics 365 Project Operations (Public Preview slated for September 2021)
Check out the details of each new feature in the release notes here.
