On-Premise Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, EE: 7.2 Platform Update 12

Since the on-premise deployment option for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations became a reality, Microsoft has steadily been updating and fine-tuning it. While the cloud has dominated much of the conversation in ERP lately, we have discussed in recent posts how the on-premise deployment option may still make sense for some.

Improvements and changes have been made in the following functional areas for Dynamics 365 On-Premise:

• Setup and deployment – Deployment times have been improved while more automation and prerequisite validations have resulted in greater reliability
• Servicing – Lifecycle Services (LCS) can now be used to update your already deployed on-premise environment, with the ability to roll back unsuccessful code changes
• Hotfixes – A new hotfix gives administrators the capacity to disable internet-dependent experiences on client machines
