Microsoft is Making a Splash in Dynamics 365 and Copilot with the 2024 Release Wave 2

Dynamics 365 Sales

In the new release, Dynamics 365 Sales focuses on enhancing customer knowledge and boosting sales by leveraging AI driven data and analytics. This new feature will also utilize AI to identify potential leads, ensuring effective and targeted sales efforts.

Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Field Service

Proactive prompting is a new Copilot capability that can access data from external systems through plugins, email enhancements, and AI-routing. These features for Dynamics 365 Customer Service will be available in Outlook, Teams, M365 Chat, and more.

With Dynamics 365 Field Service, frontline workers are able to retrieve important information and initiate mixed reality remote assist calls by using Copilot and Teams. In addition, Managers can easily create, update, and manage orders across Outlook and Teams.

Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain

When it comes to Dynamics 365 Finance, Microsoft has a few things they are focusing on in this new wave release. These features include in-app Copilot capabilities, immersive persona-based user experiences, broader country coverage, electronic invoicing improvements, enhanced business performance analytics and planning, and autonomous reconciliation features.

Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management is continuing to advance towards an autonomous supply chain by integrating intelligence, automation, and analytics into business procedures. This update enhances order promising for manufacturers, upgrades demand planning with external forecasting signals, and introduces Copilot for insights and analysis directly within workflows. In addition to this, the Traceability Copilot can track products in production and compile a detailed historical record of activities.

Dynamics 365 Commerce

Dynamics 365 Commerce is leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Copilot to streamline their operations, gain insights into customer buying patterns, recommendations for positioning and selling products, in addition to business intelligence on store performance. Improvements are also being made to self-checkout and the Store Commerce app to increase the efficiency and speed of the process, leading to an enhanced buyer experience.

Dynamics 365 Customer Insights

This release streamlines data integration through Dataverse and Fabric, allows OneLake data attachment, accelerates insights with Data Lake formats, improves control over Dataverse data, and generates insights from marketing data.

Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys can now leverage AI to boost marketer productivity, optimizing customer interactions across departments and channels. This update offers more flexibility and control over journeys, web forms, and customizing Copilot for business needs.
