Major Dynamics 365 Price Changes are on the Horizon
Microsoft has recently announced updates to commercial pricing for certain Dynamics 365 SKUs, which is the newest update since the October 2019 revisions. This change will go into effect on October 1, 2024 and will impact all those who:
- Are already on Dynamics 365 and have upcoming expiring SKU’s
- On an older version of Dynamics and are planning for an upgrade soon
Where there is change there is uncertainty, and we’re here to help educate everyone as best as we can so they can be prepared. Below is a breakdown of the pricing increases and the products being affected by the updates.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Prices are Changing – What Now?
With upcoming price increases, it’s crucial for businesses to take proactive steps and strategize accordingly. For current Microsoft Dynamics 365 users, one option to mitigate the impact of price hikes is to secure licenses at the existing rates before October 1st, locking them in for up to three years. Securing licenses is a good first step, but it isn’t the full solution – fully navigating these changes requires more than just early purchases. It’s important to thoroughly examine your unique situation, so that you can plan for the future.
Meanwhile, for those still on Microsoft Dynamics AX, safeguarding against future increases is equally important. Microsoft is currently offering discounted migration licenses, providing a 40% savings, although it remains uncertain if these discounts will persist post-October 1st. Whether you’re already on Dynamics 365 or considering a migration from Dynamics AX, now is the time to explore and capitalize on these discounted license options to minimize the impact of the upcoming pricing changes.
To help navigate these changes and maximize cost savings, we’re offering a FREE Microsoft Dynamics Licensing Strategy Workshop. During the workshop, our licensing experts will work with your organization to conduct an in-depth licensing census, categorize user types, and provide strategies for managing the cost increases coming on October 1st, 2024. Additionally, we’ll offer insights into cost optimization strategies tailored to your business needs.
