Dynamics 365 Employee Performance Review Time!
Oh No! Performance Review Time again!
Don’t dread performance review time. Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Performance Tracking to make the annual task simple and enjoyable.
In Dynamics AX 2012, by creating goals, discussions and rating models, employee performance tracking is no longer a painful task. Improvements in Dynamics 365 have taken Performance Tracking to an even higher level, making Performance Journals, Reviews and Reporting available.
Performance Information Set Up
Navigate to Human Resources > Performance > Setup. Here you will find all of the elements of the Performance Tracking:
- Goal Category
- Measurements
- Goal Templates
- Goal Groups
- Review Types
- Performance Period
- Performance Journal Source Types
- Review Templates
Once the setup is complete, Employees and Managers can utilize the Performance Journal to track performance during the year, set individual goals, and document the review process found by navigating to Human Resources > Performance.
Goal Categories:
Click New.
Enter a Category, followed by a description of the Category, and check the Active checkbox.
Measurements:
Create the various measurements to be used in Performance Management using this form:
Goal Templates:
Goal Templates contain information about the Goal including an overview, measurements, activities, and attachments.
Measurements can be indicated as normal goals or as stretch goals. These are the measurements created in the above section:
Activities require a Performance Journal Source Type to be selected from the drop down:
Goal Groups:
Goal Groups categorize the goal templates. The Goal Groups can be associated with specific Jobs and/or departments.
Review Types:
Review Types are constructed to determine the framework for the reviews and how formal or informal they will be.
Performance Periods:
Performance Periods are defined to put time frames around the Performance Tracking.
Performance Journal Source Types:
This form demonstrates who owns the Performance Journal Sources, and is used to disable the Performance Praise option, if desired.
Review Templates:
Templates to be used to structure the various discussions are created using this form and include a Review Overview, Goals, and Competencies, as well as Activities and a General Tab.
Performance Tracking:
Using the Setup information, Navigate to Human Resources > Performance. Performance Journals, Goal Assignments, Reviews, and Reporting are accessed from here.
